Snow Day

We had a very fun President's day going to Flagstaff for a day trip and visiting Aunt Mel and sledding. It was Ella's first trip like this and she was great--she slept the whole way there and the whole way back--and she slept cozily in her stoller the whole time we were sledding. We got her out in the snow with her adorable snowsuit (courtesy of Danny and Krisztina and fam) for a few pics, and then she was just snug as a bug in a rug the rest of the time. Also, it was a great day because we had happy kids throughout and no major injuries--yeah! Definitely worth all the packing and laundry post trip just to see these kiddos having such a grand time--snow is such a novelty to us desert folk!

Here's Aunt Mel and Ella posing in the beautiful scenery together--what lovely ladies!
Okay--we had to do one in the snow--after all, it was a SNOW SUIT! How cute is that?? Here I am having fun--I am--having fun--sledding is fun--not scary--no, it's fun--
Angie and Jack had a great time going down the BIG hill--Angie is such an adventuress--she is the child who we can get to do al the things that Dad wants to do--and Mom doesn't! The place we went to was great--they had all kinds of hills--from the very daring to the very wimpy--so even I could sled!

Freedom! Logan was hilarious--he just kept trucking along and he didn't mind the bumps at all or falling off or anything--it was all, "TOTALLY AWESOME!"
Although Sunny did do some sledding, truth be told she spent most of the day creating things in the snow. She is such an artist--even in the midst of adventure.

Here's a vidoe of Logan going down--we took a few more but they take FOREVER to download on Jack's laptop, so maybe I'll download a few more later this week on our computer.

And in ending this post, I had to figure out a sneaky way to get in these pics of Ella--so here goes--
Even though we had a fabulous time in the snow...

We were happy to come home and be in our own sweet beds!

Something New

What is it Mom?

I'm not so sure about this thingy here....I think I will approach it with some cautious curiousity. Ooooh! It moves!

Oh yeah--I really do love this thing! I think it is the most fun when Logan plays with me too!
We have had a lot of fun watching Ella with her new little play gym. I can't tell who likes it more--Ella or her siblings!

A Little of This and a Little of That

Just a few random recent pictures:
Here's Angie and Sunny modeling some new dresses that Grandma Deanna got them--they looked so lovely for class picture day at school--thanks Mom!

Did I mention that Sunny is making headbands for EVERYONE in the family? Go Nephi Logan!

I decided I needed to put in a picture of Ella sleeping just to prove that she actually does, since most of our pics have been of her awake. What a sweet baby.
Is it cold enough to wear this hat??? Well...better safe than sorry right? And how long in life can you wear a hat with a bear and bow?

Can these girls adore their baby sis any more? I don't know--but they are trying to find out!
And I think she might adore them as well!
This is probably the biggest smile that we have gotten from Ella on camera so far. Cutie!
Oh wait--unless you count this one! I have no idea what was so funny, but apparently she does!

Has anyone ever heard of CHEEK PIERCING?

We hadn't either--until Logan showed up with these babies...

Of course, we're not too pleased with them, and would like him to take them out ASAP, but then we have the problem of huge gaping holes in his mouth--hopefully we figure it out soon before we have to deal with much more staring!

However, on a more positive note, Angie just went to a special awards banquet for memorizing all 13 Articles of Faith. Here she is with the stake and ward primary presidents--Whew! At least we've got her on the straight and narrow!

Oh my--isn't parenting the BEST!

What did you do last Friday night????

Well, we had a birthday spa party for our 10 year old Angie! Happy birthday sweetie--we are so proud of the lovely lady you are becoming. What a fun night we had.
I never got a chance to actually count, but I think we had close to 20 kids there. (More continued to trickle in throughout the night--I think word had gotten out around the neighborhood that I was offereing free babysitting or something--j/k--the more the merrier!) At first they all just had some food and played in the backyard, then we got into three groups and began our "spa treatments". It of course was somewhat chaotic, but I like to think it was organized chaos. Whatever it was, they all seemed to have a great time.

Jennie helped make beautiful toes--and even the few boys that were there enjoyed the bubbly--water that is!
Lisa helped out with letting all the partiers make their own frame and then we took a goofy pic of them with their facial mask on and put in it the frame to take home.
Giggly girls and pampering--what more could you want!

Happy birthday dear Angie...... Even Logan enjoyed our natural mask--it was good enough to eat--and some did! Oatmeal, yogurt and honey.
After their facial scrubs, they got take turns giving each other a massage in the round--just be careful not to drip on the person's back in front of you!
There is NO WAY I could have done it without this lovely team of helpers--thank you so much fellow moms, super babysitter Dominique, and Jennie. Also thanks Jack for being a super Dad and helping out behind the scenes with the pictures--and taking this picture! You guys kept your hands very busy! Dominique brought us her hand waxing thingy where you put your hand in melted wax and then peel it off for soft and supple fingers--too fun!

Here's just a few more pics around the house this week--most include that little gal that is charming us all more day by day. (By the way, I had planned to give Ella her first pedicure at the party, but yeah it just didn't happen--however, we still plan on doing it soon!)

Uh...yeah..she's a cutie...

This is an old picture of me at 2 months with my older brother Danny...
Here's Logan and Ella at 6 weeks..so similar huh? I just thought it was pretty neat!
Sunny is the croqueting queen! She has made matching headbands for EVERYONE in our family--if you would like an order, please contact her at least ten minutes in advance.

Aurrrgh matey!

Here's a pic for an update on Ella's back and neck muscles--looking sharp lady! Woo hoo! Congrats on making it through this lengthy post! Have a super day!

The Evolution of a Smile

Gearing up for it...

Almost there...
Oh Yeah!
