Well, I kept thinking that little Conner would be taking those first steps before ten months, and he did it! Pretty close to the deadline since he turns ten months on Friday. He looks sooooooo cute taking his steps because he’s such a little baby to be walking. I love it! Anyway, here’s the VIDEO of it. I will be able to post more videos now because Jack figured how to get them uploaded—we were having a hard time for a little while. Enjoy!

Ode to Conner
What a wonderful little person he is—our sweet baby boy of almost ten months!! Conner really has become just a perfect little baby—he’s finally gotten down the whole napping and sleeping thing and is just a happy little clam—unless he’s hungry or tired, or maybe just wants mamma a little bit. He now claps his hands, says, “mamamama” and does all sorts of cute little things that endear him to our heart each day more. Here’s a little more about this special guy.
He attacks every situation with determination and drive—he was crawling at 7 months and he seems like he wants to walk now too.
He has enough spunk to keep up with all his siblings—especially that two year old one who is fast becoming his special buddy.
He always looks on the bright side of things—even plastic food looks great to him!
And he is, of course, a genius baby.
He’s a social butterfly—but in a very masculine way of course.
And now, since we got all the legal stuff out of the way….
He is ours—officially—FOREVER.
The beautiful cake that Kari made for Conner’s special day
And Amy, we so appreciate you—for eternity! What a special blessing you have given us—we love you and we love this boy. Adoption is truly a miracle which we have been privileged to be a part of.
God is in His heaven—all is right with the world.

Have Plans for Saturday Night, May 29th?
I have just the thing for you to do! A wonderful organization called Families for Orphans is holding a “Hope for the Children Event.” It will be a fantastic benefit concert. ALL proceeds will go to benefit orphans and foster children and tickets are $10.00. Angie and Sunny have the wonderful opportunity of performing with a group of other children in the opening number, which will be so beautiful and really cool. The concert is actually a contest with many talented performers singing and competing for the title of Ambassador of Hope. Anyone who is interested in purchasing some tickets or just learning more can go to this site. It really will be a great show for a very worthy cause.
Here are the cute sisters that will be performing in this show.
P.S. This weekend was so wonderful for our family—heaven on earth! Friday was Jack’s sister’s endowment session, then Saturday was Conner’s sealing day, and then Sunday was the temple dedication of the new temple in Gila Valley. I want to post pics and blog about it, but sleep is calling my name right now. I just had to share the happy news!
Conner crawling—he is such a go getter I think he might be walking before ten months!
P.S.S. And school is almost out—yipeeeee! Two science projects down, and only one to go….worms here we come.
And this picture has nothing to do with what I just wrote, but I thought it was so cute—Ella loves to wear things on her head and tell everyone, “I getting married today. I get married in the temple!”

Does anyone know...
how to get fingernail polish out of hair?
Yep, that's what I just said--fingernail polish out of hair.
I am pretty sure the obvious solution, fingernail polish remover, would work pretty well, but I'm not excited about having the possible problem of a two year old with bleached and damaged locks. The only thing I know of to try is oil or ice. So, before I dive in and try to get to get this stuff out, I thought I would check to see if anyone else had ever had this problem before. If not, at least you can pity me and be happy that all of your children have natural colored hair without any matts or clumps of sparkly blue in them. Sigh....lucky you.
In completely unrelated news, Logan is grounded for the next few days and will have the priviledge of performing some extra service for his family by way of various chores chosen by his mother.
Have a lovely day!

Elaine, why didn’t you tell me it was a trilogy?!?!?!??!
Okay, obviously this is a very late post. Obviously I should be in bed right now. Obviously everyone else in my household will probably be up in about five and a half hours. Obviously my sweet husband tried to get me to go to sleep and I could not do it. And OBVIOUSLY I am writing a post right now.
WHY? Why you ask? Well, I will tell you in one word—maybe two.
Hunger. Games.
Awesome. Book.
Could. Not. Put. It. Down.
Very. Upset. To. Find. That. It. Is. A. TRILOGY!!!!!
What happens to Katniss? And Peeta! And I guess I should care about Gale too, but to be honest I really don’t very much. And what about all those crazy/evil/sad/horrible people???
Elaine, you never told me there was more to this book….But, maybe that is a good thing. Because if I knew that I might have the next book right now, and then I wouldn’t get any sleep tonight.
Okay, if anyone out there wants to go crazy like I have read this great book by Suzanne Collins. It is riveting and thought provoking and has fabulous characters—I am a sucker for a good plot with great characters.
But I, being a merciful being, will tell you that the book has two more coming after it. And the last one, I think, hasn’t even been released yet. So, be prepared to want more at the end. But be prepared for a great read and some thought provoking stuff that will keep you up at night and wanting to blog about it.
HUNGER GAMES
Now, I must sleep. Goodbye.

Spring means….
visiting with butterflies at Desert Botanicals
I think in this picture Sunny wanted everyone to know that Logan had pinched her or something of that sort. Unfortunately Logan doesn’t seem to be very bothered by it.:) Sibling fun!
Some other things that go with Spring include (but are not limited to):
getting wet after car washes,
yard work,
harvesting, (although our garden is not much to brag about this year, but if anybody needs cilantro, PLEASE come get it at our house!) the LOVE CARROTS
watching Dad and Logan get second place at the Pinewood, (woo hoo!)
playing outside with our cute cousin Bridgette,
and going to Daddy’s work picnic (which seems to be getting HOTTER every year—I think they need some WATER GAMES or something next year, but the kids still had fun.)
Spring has sprung, but unfortunately here in the desert it’s almost done!
